- What did you do before beginning your real estate career?
- I come from a long line of retailers. Before working in real estate, I was the district sales manager for a high-end women’s ready-to-wear line of clothing. I handled everything from budgets and advertising to fashion shows. Basically, I’ve been in sales my whole life. So, changing my career to real estate seemed like a natural fit.
- What do you like most about working in real estate?
- I love the challenge of the coffee to closing part of the business. It’s fun to meet people – to ask them the right questions and find out clearly what they are looking for; you’re a private detective in a way. It’s so exciting to help your clients accomplish something they didn’t think possible. It’s just a great job - period.
- What made you choose Edina Realty?
- Making change is hard! Sometimes you need to feel uncomfortable, and in doing so, you can make great strides and find wonderful rewards! I chose to come to Edina Realty from another broker because of Edina Realty’s values and business philosophy. I wanted to grow my business and I knew Edina Realty’s management, support staff and caliber of agents would help me do that. They were the right business partner for me to achieve my goals and prepare for the future.
- What do you like most about working with Edina Realty?
- The answer has to be the integrity of my peers. For me, there is a great sense of trust here. Integrity abounds from the top down. The support here at Edina Realty is also greatly appreciated! If I have questions I can pick up the phone and call the staff in Legal, Finance or Marketing to run things by them. They are always there to help. I love the open door policy here too. I’ve had a great opportunity to challenge myself and grow my business since joining Edina Realty.
- What advice would you give to someone considering a real estate career?
- Being a REALTOR® can be overwhelming at times. My advice is to be strategic and commit to doing something that you do well and do it over and over again. Whether it be making calls or writing notes, commit to doing something every day that is going to help grow your business.
