She stared at us between the bars of her cage. "Age: 1 year, Breed: terrier-mix." Her eyes were fixed, her tail wagged. My wife and I had lost our beloved Sweetie earlier in the year. The loss resulted in our volunteering at the animal shelter, the same animal shelter where this dear animal focused on us. She needed a home, and we needed her. A quick meeting, a few rubs and we put her into the back of our van. We brought her home, we named her Holly, and it's been an adventure every day!
