Building a Better Tomorrow
Shouldn't everyone have a place to call home? That's what Edina Realty REALTORS® thought when they offered their helping hands in establishing the Edina Realty Foundation. Through the Edina Realty Foundation, we're extending our resources to the people who need them the most in the communities we serve.
The Foundation extends financial support to organizations which provide housing and related services such as counseling and medical care to homeless children, families and individuals. Since its inception in 1996, the Foundation has raised more than $6.7 million.
In 2012, the Edina Realty Foundation awarded more than 213 grants totalling $254,948.

Helping is Our Responsibility
The Foundation is supported through donations made by our REALTORS who contribute part of their commission from home sales to the Foundation. Every time an agent donates a part of their commission to the Foundation, Edina Realty makes a contribution as well. In addition, employees of Edina Realty Home Services, Edina Realty, Edina Realty Mortgage, Edina Realty Relocation and Edina Realty Title contribute both time and money to the Foundation.
Grant Making Guidelines and Procedures
Foundation Focus: Homelessness
All of the Edina Realty Foundation funds are donated to non-profit organizations which support homeless individuals, children and families and/or homelessness prevention.
Grant examples include funds to support those non-profit organizations working in the areas of providing safe shelter, food and clothing to those fleeing domestic violence, aiding families facing financial crisis with help in forestalling mortgage foreclosures, providing clinical services, medical supplies, outreach services and social services, and providing on-the-street medical care and crisis nursery support. Grants typically range from $500 - $5,000 with the average grant being $2,000.
Grant Request Procedures
Contact an Edina Realty sales office in your community and ask to speak with the Foundation Representative regarding funding procedures and to discuss your organization and its needs to see if it fits the Edina Realty Foundation's funding guidelines.
Complete and submit our Grant Application along with printed materials about your organization to the Foundation Representative.
Grant Application forms may be submitted at anytime to an Edina Realty Foundation Representative for consideration.
A Company With Heart
Community Begins at Home
Edina Realty is proud to announce a new partnership with Dress for Success® Twin Cities. During 2011, 28 of Edina Realty's metro offices will serve as drop off sites for women's professional attire and accessories including women's suits, blouses, jackets, pants, shoes, hand bags/purses and any other work-appropriate attire. Each year Edina Realty Home Services employees and REALTORS dedicate a day in June to work on local community improvement projects. Our volunteer day is called,"Community Begins at Home."
In addition, our employees and REALTORS may participate annually in company-wide community involvement projects such as the state-wide 2011 Minnesota FoodShare drive, collecting clothing and cell phones for battered women's shelters or building Habitat for Humanity homes.
