I was the Secretary and am a Board Member of the Belle Plaine Historical Society. I joined as my home is a part of the community and many people love to tell me their memories of the Sacred Heart Church & Rectory. We are currently in the process of organizing and cataloguing all of the unique items that have been donated from community members.
There are still many historic buildings in downtown Belle Plaine. Come and stroll the streets, don't forget to look up. The architectural details and mouldings of the buildings are all pretty amazing! Check out some of the cute shops, bakery or one of the many bars with great food and events!
This is the second built Rectory for Sacred Heart Church in Belle Plaine, MN. It was build in 1919. Still has the original woodwork, many of the original floors and the stained glass window.
The architect that designed the Belle Plaine Creamery also designed the Rectory for Sacred Heart Church.
