The Cedar-Riverside neighborhood, often referred to as West Bank, is one of the most vibrant and diverse neighborhoods in the Twin Cities. It has a thriving arts culture, with many theater and music venues. The Como neighborhood features many amenities for its residents, including Van Cleve Park which includes a basketball court, tennis court, wading pool and picnic area. Marcy-Holmes is the first neighborhood of Minneapolis, and a part of the University community. It is known for its vibrant restaurants and retail shops within its two commercial districts, Dinkytown and St. Anthony Main. Nicollet Island/East Bank sits on the eastern riverbank of the Mississippi. The East Bank portion of the neighborhood is commonly referred to as Old St. Anthony. The historic neighborhood of Prospect Park is iconically known for its Prospect Park water tower, often referred to by residents as the “Witches Hat Water Tower”.
