Seminars and Resources

Our monthly Aging Renaissance series is designed to educate and empower you to make informed decisions and plan for your future while you are still able to make those choices for yourself. The goal is to help you take control of your journey.

The series is led by Pat, a realtor who specializes in senior downsizing and housing. She brings that professional lens to the conversation when needed, offering valuable insight for those who may be considering a move now or in the future. Aging Renaissance is not directly affiliated with Pat’s real estate business — there is no expectation to work with her, and most of her sessions aren't even about real estate.

However, if you or your family ever need guidance with selling a home or finding the right housing, Pat combines her deep professional expertise with an equally deep understanding of the emotions that can come with this process. From leaving a family home and sorting through decades of belongings, to navigating conflicting priorities and shifting family dynamics, she brings both knowledge and empathy to help guide you through these moments.

You’re welcome to join the sessions, whether or not you are a client. This is a space for learning, connection, and growth — with no strings attached.

What is a Senior Housing Professional (CSHP)?

As a Certified Senior Housing Professional (CSHP), I have specialized training to help older adults navigate the many decisions that come with downsizing, relocating, or transitioning to a new living situation. This designation means I’ve completed advanced education in senior housing, estate planning considerations, and the emotional challenges that often come with leaving a long-time home. I approach each move with empathy, patience, and a deep understanding of the practical and emotional steps involved. From selling your home “as is” to connecting you with trusted resources for downsizing, organizing, or finding the right retirement community, my goal is to guide you through the process with clarity and care—making your transition as smooth and stress-free as possible.

What is a Senior Downsizing Coach (CSDC)?

As a Certified Senior Downsizing Coach (CSDC)—sometimes called a senior transition specialist—I help older adults and their families navigate every stage of the downsizing process with both practical expertise and deep empathy. A big part of my certification is specialized training in coaching clients through the often-complex family dynamics that come with major life changes. At this stage of life, relationships and priorities can be shifting, and those dynamics can become even more challenging during a move. I provide strategies for handling this transition proactively—helping you plan ahead before the need to move becomes urgent—as well as guidance for navigating an unplanned transition when circumstances change suddenly. From sorting and decluttering to facilitating conversations between family members, my role is to make the process as smooth and respectful as possible, ensuring everyone feels heard and supported along the way.
