Nature at your Door

When I was little my grandmother loved to take us for walks in the woods. She would seek out the Ladyslipper or the Jack-in-the-Pulpit and then point it out to us with great excitement. These were treasures! She never lost an opportunity to have us notice the trillium in early spring or the deer at the edge of the woods right before the sun sunk behind the horizon.

In part due to these experiences, I frequently walk on the trails around our neighborhoods. This page is meant to introduce you to a few of them!

Walking with neighbors at Clifton French Park

French park as it is called is a Three Rivers District Regional park on the north shore of Medicine Lake in eastern Plymouth. It offers the full gamut of recreational activities including a beach, watercraft, boat launch, playground equipment, numerous picnicking areas. There are paved trails as well as dirt paths through the woods. In the winter they serve as cross country ski trails.

There is no cost for admittance. So check out this Plymouth treasure!
