Lou Hedberg named 2021 Emmy Award winner

MINNEAPOLIS, MN, Dec. 10, 2021 – Lou Hedberg, a REALTOR® in Edina Realty’s Blaine office, was honored with the Emma L. Rovick Memorial Award at a Dec. 8 event.

Established to honor company founder Emma Rovick, the “Emmy” Award is given annually to two people: One employee and one real estate agent who exemplify Edina Realty Home Services’ core values of honesty, integrity, commitment, innovation and community.

Hedberg joined Edina Realty in 1991 and is a member of the company’s Chairman’s Circle, putting him among the most successful agents at the company. He’s known as a mentor to other agents in the office, always willing to pitch in to help them with any issue.

“Lou is an exceptional leader and a true problem-solver both within his own business and for the company as a whole,” said Sharry Schmid, president of Edina Realty. “We appreciate all his hard work and dedication to his clients and Edina Realty.”

Hedberg’s nomination read in part: “Lou is a tremendous part of the Blaine office. He has an incredible positive attitude and is a problem solver! He is constantly helping other agents in the office with questions or experience and for that he makes the Blaine office stronger.”

Each year, Edina Realty agents and employees nominate their colleagues for the Emmy Award, and out of 43 nominees this year, one agent and one employee were selected. Award winners must excel in customer service, leadership, team building and/or make significant contributions to the industry.
