Nicole Suchy Named Director of Edina Realty's Exceptional Properties

Edina, Minn. - June 18, 2014 – Edina Realty, a Berkshire Hathaway affiliate, has named Nicole Suchy the new director of its Exceptional Properties division.

Suchy will be responsible for developing and implementing programs designed to support the division of Edina Realty devoted to upper bracket homes, assisting Edina Realty’s REALTORS® and customers who buy and sell properties priced at $500,000 and over.

Suchy has over 20 years of real estate experience. She began her career with Edina Realty in 2000 and has worked as a REALTOR and manager overseeing six Edina Realty Title closing branch offices.

Properties over $500,000 are rebounding in the current market. According to the Northstar MLS, pending sales of properties over $500,000 in the greater metro Twin Cities area were up nearly 25 percent over last May. New listings are also up about 25 percent after hitting bottom last May, when there were only 2,059 properties for $500,000 and above for sale.

There are currently about 2,330 properties on the market priced at $500,00 and higher in the Twin Cities area. Buyers are quickly working through the current inventory; the month’s supply is down to only 7.6 months, which means that if no new homes came on the market, every home in this price range would be sold in just over seven months.

Throughout Minnesota and western Wisconsin, there are over 4,300 homes for sale priced at $500,000 and higher on Edina Realty’s website, which includes all available properties listed with the MLS.
