Edina Realty Launches Minneapolis Neighborhood Web Pages

Detailed Information on Popular Minneapolis Communities Helps Home Buyers, Sellers

Edina, Minn. – April 14, 2011 – Consumers who are searching for homes for sale in Minneapolis will find new searchable features and a wealth of information on Edina Realty's new Minneapolis neighborhood web pages at: http://www.edinarealty.com/mn/minneapolis.

The new Minneapolis-specific web pages enable consumers to search homes for sale in 10 Minneapolis communities – Calhoun-Isles, Camden North, Downtown, Longfellow, Nokomis, Northeast, Phillips, Powderhorn, Southwest, and University. Consumers can also search by popular neighborhoods, including Bryn-Mawr, Kenwood, Linden Hills, Lowry Hill and Uptown. Additional web pages on condominiums, foreclosures, luxury homes and historic homes offer specific information and property listings for these types of properties.

Edina Realty launched St. Paul neighborhood web pages in early December, and the plan is to continue building neighborhood-specific web pages, starting with Edina, Minn., Rochester, Minn. and Hudson, Wisc. later this spring.

"The goal of these community pages is to make it easier for consumers to find properties, local information, and to discover what it's like to live in these neighborhoods," said Bob Peltier, president and CEO of Edina Realty Home Services. "Our philosophy is to provide more information to consumers so that they'll come to us when they're ready to make a real estate move."

Detailed charts provide a wealth of information on the neighborhood's median home value and appreciation, as well as the demographics – age, income, education, family status, etc. Each community/ neighborhood page offers the prospective homebuyer a glimpse of what it's like to live there by including information on the local schools, parks, transportation, places of interest and overall quality of life.

Edina Realty's website is the leading real estate website in the area, with over 800,000 visitors every month. Edina Realty is continuously adding new features and functionality to its website and its mobile site, m.edinarealty.com. Last month, Edina Realty began integrating sold data for homes that closed in the last two years in Minnesota, western Wisconsin and Fargo, N.D.

Currently, Edina Realty has three offices in Minneapolis: the downtown Minneapolis office located at 226 Washington Ave. N., the Parkway office at 5318 Lyndale Ave. S., and the City Lakes office at 3270 W. Lake St.
