Edina Realty Website Receives National Quality Certification



Edina, Minn. - Feb. 24, 2014 – Edina Realty has been awarded a Website Quality Certification (WQC) from Leading Real Estate Companies of the World® (LeadingRE), a global network of more than 500 real estate firms. LeadingRE only certifies those member companies that demonstrate best practices in website design and content, usability and interactivity.

Out of the entire national network, Edina Realty is one of 125 companies and the only company in Minnesota to earn the 2014 WQC designation.

Every aspect of Edina Realty’s website was reviewed to ensure exacting standards were met in nine key areas, from design and content to usability and interactivity to search engine optimization (SEO). Edina Realty was also nominated for an award for best Internet lead management process and response time. Special award winners will be announced at the LeadingRE annual conference in Las Vegas later in February.

Edina Realty’s website is by far the most popular real estate website in the region. Last year, it received over 14 million visits, twice as many as its closest local competitor; visits to Edina Realty’s mobile sites increased 153 percent. Combined visits to edinarealty.com, the mobile site and mobile applications exceeded 23 million in 2013. Edina Realty’s Home Search app for iPhones, iPads and Android devices was awarded Best New App by Mpls.St.Paul Magazine in 2013.

The WQC was introduced in 2009 to recognize and encourage superior real estate websites among LeadingRE’s 500 member firms. Edina Realty’s website was evaluated by Virtual Results, LLC, a real estate Internet and social marketing firm that evaluated participating member websites for the LeadingRE program.
