EDINA, MN (Nov. 1, 2018) – John Smaby, REALTOR® at Edina Realty, will be installed as president of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) today at the NAR convention in Boston. Smaby will lead the world’s largest trade organization which represents more than 1.3 million real estate agents and advocates for homeownership.
In honor of Smaby’s many contributions to the real estate community in Minnesota and the nation, Governor Mark Dayton proclaimed Nov. 1, 2018 to be John S. Smaby Day across Minnesota.
As stated in the proclamation, “John’s mentorship of hundreds of real estate professionals throughout his career has left a lasting mark on the reputation and success of Minnesota’s housing market by ensuring every Realtor is conducting themselves with a high level of professionalism, and a personal commitment to doing what is best for their client.”
