Centennial Lakes Park in Edina one of the city's highlights

Centennial Lakes Park Edina MN

Centennial Lakes Park, which is close to many Edina condos and townhomes, is a 24-acre park perfect to visit year-round.

The grounds host one-and-a-half miles of paved paths surrounding a pond used for rowing, boating and ice skating - depending on the season, of course. The park also hosts a farmers market as well as various cultural performances in its lakeside amphitheater.

With spring finally popping up in our area, visitors can fish in the ponds and play at the unique grass putting course. The farmers market, open two days a week throughout the spring and summer, features dozens of vendors, selling everything from breads and bakery items to cheese and meats.

Centennial Lakes Park Manager Tom Shirley told the Minnesota Sun he thinks the farmers market at the park could expand to include up to 60 vendors in future years.

In winter, Centennial Lakes Park offers a vast outdoor skating area, in which skaters can glide across 10 acres of carefully crafted ice.
