FHA loan limits for Minnesota in 2025

FHA loan limits for Minnesota

Various loan options are available to today’s homebuyers, including FHA loans. These loans, also known as “helper loans,” are backed by the Federal Housing Administration, which has the ability to approve certain buyers who might find it challenging to save for a down payment or maintain an ideal credit score.

Because the FHA takes on more risk when lending to these buyers, they limit how much buyers can borrow with this loan type. The majority of Minnesota counties have a 2025 FHA loan limit of $524,225. However, 13 of the more expensive counties in Minnesota have a higher loan limit of $529,000. Those counties are:

  • Anoka, Carver, Chisago, Dakota, Hennepin, Isanti, Le Sueur, Mille Lacs, Ramsey, Scott, Sherburne, Washington and Wright
